Physiotherapist

Louise began her career as a physiotherapist after graduating from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2003. She started working in private practice, where she gained valuable experience in paediatric musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, particularly while working with young dancers.

Throughout her career, Louise has worked with both children and adults in diverse settings, including as onsite physiotherapist at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and as an Anatomy and Movement lecturer for the VCA and Australian Pilates Method courses. She draws on her extensive training and experience in movement and clinical Pilates to assess and support children in optimising their movement and gross motor skills.

Louise has experience working with children with a wide range of conditions, including neuromuscular and genetic disorders, gross motor and developmental delays, torticollis, and plagiocephaly. She is particularly passionate about early detection and intervention for infants and is dedicated to supporting the developmental needs of infants and their families.

To further enhance her paediatric skills, Louise has completed a variety of postgraduate courses and has completed her General Movements Assessment (GMA) training. Committed to continuous learning, she has retuned to study part time to complete a Master of Physiotherapy in Paediatrics at Melbourne University.

As a mother of three, Louise understands how to make physiotherapy engaging and fun for children. She has a sound knowledge of the NDIS system and is passionate about advocating for families and helping children develop their physical skills to their fullest potential.
