Since then, she has worked with children with a wide range of conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, neuromuscular diseases, genetic conditions, hypermobility, complex medical conditions, post-surgical rehab and newborn musculoskeletal conditions. She often works with children who have complex conditions to coordinate allied health team care and prescribe specialised equipment.
Kirsty has completed a range of postgraduate paediatric Physiotherapy training in neurodevelopmental assessment and surveillance, assessment & treatment of plagiocephaly and torticollis, paediatric equipment prescription, cycling intervention for children with disabilities, orthoses for children with a disability, working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, hydrotherapy and paediatric telehealth intervention.
Kirsty takes the time to get to know each individual child she works with, what motivates them, and how to best tailor physiotherapy interventions to achieve their goals in the context of family life. Outside of work, Kirsty has a passion for art and travel and impresses the other Little Movers staff with her beautiful paintings!
