Jinny Yang
Doctor of Physiotherapy
Physiotherapist
Jinny joined the Little Movers team having worked as a Paediatric Physiotherapist at Joan Kirner Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melton Community Health, and Northern Health. Prior to specialising in Paediatrics, she worked in adult neurological Physiotherapy after graduating from the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Melbourne University. This provided a sound knowledge base for later working with children with neurological conditions.
During her career in Paediatrics, Jinny has worked with children from birth – 16 years of age with genetic, neurological, medical, and orthopedic conditions as well as global developmental delay. She developed a special interest in working with babies and young children, thus completing further training in Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment and the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination. Jinny also has experience caring for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Special Care Nursery.
Jinny is passionate about helping children to develop their gross motor (movement) skills so that they are able to participate to their full potential!
Outside of work, Jinny loves to read, dance and go for long walks.
