Jess moved to Melbourne from Sydney in 2022 to join the Little Movers Physio team with a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University (NSW). She also holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Bachelor of Nutrition. While completing a 6-month Paediatric Internship 3 days/week at Macquarie Kids Health Service, Jess first discovered her passion for working with children. Since then, she has gone on to work with children with a range of conditions including Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and other genetic conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Plagiocephaly, and childhood cancer. Jess enjoys providing community based Physiotherapy sessions and more recently, her involvement in bike riding intensive programs at Little Movers.

 

Jess is committed to ongoing professional development. She has completed a variety of courses including the Australian Physiotherapy Association Paediatric Physiotherapy Levels 1 & 2, a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies through Griffith University and the ABNDTA Typical Movement course. She is currently completing a postgraduate paediatric physiotherapy course through Monash University. 

 

Jess has a long-standing passion for working with children with disabilities where she often does volunteer work. While completing her university degree, she worked as a volunteer for 2 years for the Cerebral Palsy NSW Football team where she provided Physiotherapy assessments and treatment. She also volunteered for 1 year at the Royal Institute for the Deaf & Blind where she assisted children with vision and hearing impairments to complete classroom activities. 

 

Jess has a bubbly personality that children are drawn to! She is proactive, warm and thorough in her approach when working with families. Outside of work, she enjoys travel and sport, excelling at soccer!
